Franklin Farmhands 4-H September news

CENTERVILLE — The Franklin Farmhands were called to order for their regular meeting by Clayton Merritt on Sept. 26.  

Shanay Sloan was introduced as a new member.

It was discussed and approved that flowers were sent to the Jeff Younker family for his funeral. We also discussed the recent fire at the Appanoose County Fairgrounds and that we may want to replace the Ronald Turk Area sign when the show ring is rebuilt.  

Colton McGill gave a talk on making a duct tape wallet. Justin and Joshua Brown gave a talk on the drought year comparison.   

We had an election of officers and the new officers are president: Cendra Sebolt; vice president: Tell Heesch;secretary: Danielle Fulin; treasurer: Anthony Furlin; reporter: Hannah Hinners; historian, Ashtin Glenn.  

Nick Howell led the pledge to the American Flag and Hannah Hinners led the pledge to the 4-H flag.

Refreshments were provided by Joshua and Justin Brown, Colton McGill and Cendra  Sebolt.

The next meeting was  Oct. 14 for the Adopt A Highway Cleanup. The rain date was Oct. 21.
