Fern Broshar, 93, of Centerville and the mother of retired Col. Robert D. Broshar has been very busy the last few months. She crocheted more than 100 beanie caps for the soldiers to wear under their helmets and on Jan. 26 presented one to each of the men who deployed with the 833rd Engineer Company to Afghanistan. The 833rd Engineer Company from Ottumwa deployed to Afghanistan for one year on Jan 28. Pictured is Fern Broshar and Capt. Kiel Archer, commander of the 833rd Engineer Company, standing in front of the unit outfitted with their skull caps.

The Daily Iowegian will publish an Editorial Question of the Week on the Opinion page. The Iowegian wants readers to think about the Internal Revenue Service scandal. Dick Polman in an editorial wrote "the IRS' targeting of small-fry conservative groups was not a conspiratorial socialist plot. It was knuckleheaded, ill-supervised bureaucratic ineptitude." So, the question of the week is, "Do you agree or disagree with Polman's analysis of the IRS scandal?"

A. Agree
B. Disagree
C. Not sure
