Swisher man wanted on child endangerment charges

Public asked to contact law enforcement with any information

OTTUMWA — The Ottumwa Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 25-year-old man wanted on child endangerment charges.

On Dec. 7, the OPD responded to Ottumwa Regional Health Center on a report of a 2-month-old infant in the emergency room with serious injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for Michael Geoffrey Blair, 25, of Swisher, for multiple acts of child endangerment, a Class B felony.

The OPD is asking for the public’s help in locating Blair. He is a white male, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, 150 pounds with blue eyes. He is known to frequent the Cedar Rapids area but has ties to Ottumwa.

Anyone with information concerning Blair is asked to call the OPD Investigations Unit at 641-683-0661.
