Snow expected to total three inches through morning hours

APPANOOSE COUNTY —  

RELATED: January 30's weather closings.

The National Weather Service is expecting snow to continue with an 80-100 percent chance between 6 and 11 a.m. this morning.

The weather service is forecasting three inches of snow accumulation during that time period.

Temperatures should remain in the upper 20s, however, wind chills will be around the 10-degree mark by 11 a.m.

The NWS is expecting winds to be in the mid-20 mph range with wind gusts up to 37 mph.

At 5:55 a.m., it was 28-degrees with light snow in Centerville, according to the weather service. The visibility was down to the 3/4 mile mark with most roads covered.
