MYSTIC —
On Thursday, July 28 at approximately 8:02 p.m. the Appanoose County Sheriff received a report of a single vehicle crash in the 14600 block of Highway S70, north of Plano.
Investigation of the crash revealed that Theodore “Teddy” Oehler, 60, of rural Mystic, was driving a 2002 Ford pickup southbound on Highway S70 when Oehler lost control while negotiating a curve. Oehler's vehicle left the roadway and entered a ditch causing the pickup to roll and become airborn.
Oehler was killed as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Appanoose County Medical Examiner.
The crash is under investigation by the Appanoose County Sheriff.
