TRAVEL NOT ADVISED ON IOWA ROADWAYS

DES MOINES — The Iowa Department of Public Safety’s Iowa State Patrol Division advises Iowans that travel continues to not be advised across much of Iowa today due to blowing snow, low visibility, and drifting caused by yesterday’s blizzard.

Interstate 35 from Ames to the Minnesota line continues to be closed. Interstate 35 northbound is blocked at the 107 mile marker in Story County with a jackknifed semi.

Two injury accidents have been reported on I-80 in Jasper county at mile marker 173.

If you are stranded and need emergency services, call 911. Road conditions are continually updated at www.511ia.org or by calling 511 from any phone.
