Four arrested after meth lab bust in Mystic

MYSTIC — On Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at approximately 6:30 p.m. the Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from members of the South Central Iowa Drug Task Force conducted an investigation of Methamphetamine Lab at 905 Willow Lane in Mystic, according to a press release from the Appanoose County Sheriff's Office.

During the investigation, evidence conducive of the manufacturing of Methamphetamine was found at the residence.

As a result of the investigation the following individuals were arrested at the scene of the Meth Lab and charged with Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine, more than five grams, a Class “B” Felony.

Arrested were: Joseph Agan, age 26, of Mystic; Jason Adams, age 36 of Mystic; Jessica Orman, age 28, of Mystic; and Roger Roe, age 49, of Centerville, Iowa.

All four of the defendants are being held in the Appanoose County Jail in lieu of $100,000.00 cash bond.

The South Central Iowa Drug Task Force is a federally funded Narcotic Task Force through the Byrne/JAG grant. Members of the task force are law enforcement officers from the South Central Iowa area that cover eight counties in South Central Iowa.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
