Snow ordinance in effect from 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. on city square and surround streets

CENTERVILLE — The emergency snow ordinance has been adjusted by Centerville Mayor Jim Senior. Parking on the city square and all city streets leading to and from the square for a one-block radius is prohibited from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., until further notice.

Violators risk up to $100 fine and the towing and impoundment of their vehicles.

Centerville police chief Tom Demry said the department towed five vehicles Tuesday night for violations.

The Daily Iowegian will publish an Editorial Question of the Week on the Opinion page. The Iowegian wants readers to think about the Internal Revenue Service scandal. Dick Polman in an editorial wrote "the IRS' targeting of small-fry conservative groups was not a conspiratorial socialist plot. It was knuckleheaded, ill-supervised bureaucratic ineptitude." So, the question of the week is, "Do you agree or disagree with Polman's analysis of the IRS scandal?"

B. Disagree
C. Not sure
