CENTERVILLE — Congressman Dave Loebsack will visit Centerville businesses Saturday, May 15 and meet with owners to discuss his work to help small businesses and spur economic development. Loebsack will also listen to local business leaders, gathering their input on ways to help create jobs in the area.

An accident west of Moulton caused two to be transported by Mercy Air Ambulance from the scene Saturday morning.
Mystic couple arrested on meth charges
On April 12, 2013 at approximately 9:15 a.m. members of the South Central Iowa Drug Task Force, Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office, Centerville Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotic search warrant at 301 N. 2nd Street in Mystic, according to a press release from the Appanoose County Sheriff's Office released Friday evening.

The National Weather Service is predicting no less than a 60 percent chance of snow throughout 5 p.m. today. After that, the system should be out of the area.
