CENTERVILLE — Weather related closings and announcements for the Appanoose and Wayne County area for Thursday, February 28, 2013.

Schools (see below for businesses/organizations):

Albia Schools: 2 hour delay. Buses hard surfaces only.

Centerville Schools: Updated, now CLOSED.

Davis County Schools: Hard surfaces only, regular start time.

Indian Hills Community College: Opening at 9 a.m.

Kids' World preschool: Class will start at 10 a.m. The day care will open at 6:30 a.m.

Moravia Schools: 2 hour delay.

Moulton-Udell Schools: Updated, now CLOSED.

Putnam County R1: CLOSED.

Seymour Schools: Opens at 10:30 a.m., Buses on hard surfaces only.

Wayne Community: 2 hour delay, buses on hard surfaces only.

Businesses/Organizations:

The 2013 trip meeting to be held at the 18-80 Club this afternoon at 3:30 has been rescheduled for Thursday March 21st. The evening co-op & bingo for 5:00 has been cancelled. Noon meals are being served at 11:30.

An accident west of Moulton caused two to be transported by Mercy Air Ambulance from the scene Saturday morning.

Mystic couple arrested on meth charges
On April 12, 2013 at approximately 9:15 a.m. members of the South Central Iowa Drug Task Force, Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office, Centerville Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotic search warrant at 301 N. 2nd Street in Mystic, according to a press release from the Appanoose County Sheriff's Office released Friday evening.

The Centerville City Snow Ordiance has been altered to not allow parking between 10 p.m. 6 a.m. on the Centerville square and the streets leading to and from the square, for a one block radius.

Earl Eugene Arnold Earl Eugene Arnold, 68, of Live Oak, Fla. died Feb. 8, 2013. No services are planned. Interment of his cremains was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia. Lange Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
