Centerville native Jones finishes tenth at Drake

DES MOINES —  

Lauren Jones, a Centerville native, finished tenth in the college women 10,000 meter run at the 102nd Drake Relays in Des Moines on Thursday. Jones graduated from Centerville High School in 2006.

She finished with a time of 36:27.56.  The race winner, Bridget Lyons, was the race winner with a 33:31.14.

Jones is currently a senior at Nicholls State. She recently became the schools’ record holder in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 36:03.22 on April 14.
