69-year-old Centerville woman may be victim of sexual assault

CENTERVILLE — On Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at approximately 7:24 a.m. an ambulance was requested at 113 1/2 West Van Buren Street in Centerville for a 69 year old female requesting medical attention. After their arrival the female reported to the ambulance personnel that she might have been sexually assaulted, according to a press release from the Centerville Police Department issued Sunday evening.



At approximately 7:35 a.m. an officer with the Centerville Police Department arrived at the residence and began an investigation into the complaint.



The victim was transported to Mercy Medical Center, Centerville and later transferred to Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines by air ambulance for undetermined injuries.



The victim did provide the names of multiple people that she was in contact with on the night in question. Those individuals have cooperated with law enforcement and provided interviews. The case remains under investigation by the Centerville Police Department.
