Fire destroys Moravia home

MORAVIA — Firefighters from Moravia and Mystic are currently on the scene of a house fire in the 15000 block of 400th Street in Moravia, Iowa.

The fire was reported to the Centerville Law Center, and emergency crews were dispatched, around 11 p.m. Thursday night. The call came in as a living room on fire.

Firefighters were still on scene at 1 a.m. Friday morning. The house appeared to be destroyed by 12:30 a.m. Friday, just an hour and half after it was first reported.

No injuries were reported, as occupants were able to escape safely.

The address is located about 12 miles northwest of Centerville.
