CPA joins ‘Million Dollar Round Table’

CENTERVILLE — Anderson, Larkin & Co. P.C. employee Kenneth E. Crosser, CPA, of Ottumwa, achieved membership in the Million Dollar Round Table — the premier association of financial professionals.

Attaining membership in MDRT is achieved by less than 1 percent of the world's life insurance and financial services professionals. It requires members to adhere to a strict code of ethics, focus on providing top-notch client service and continue to grow professionally through involvement in at least one other industry association.

Michael Aguas, managing director of National Life, said: "Ken reached this milestone by combining his tax expertise with proven financial planning strategies. He specializes in helping families and business owners."

The Iowegian wants readers to think about the debate Rep. Larry Sheets talks about at the state capital centered on "accepting Medicaid expansion as defined by the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), or choosing to create an Iowa specific health care program. Those who prefer the Medicaid expansion believe the federal government will fulfill its commitments three years from now. Those opposing explain that the federal government is only capable of that by borrowing the money from the Chinese." So, the question this week is, "Should Iowa accept the federal government's Medicaid expansion or create a health care program specific to the state?"

A. Accept Medicaid expansion.
B. Create health care program.
