CENTERVILLE —
Richard Allbee, CEO of ABCM Corporation, announced the addition of Dr. Brian Hansen to the ABCM Corporate family. Dr. Hansen will serve as the executive medical director.
“We are very excited to be adding Dr. Brian Hansen to our ABCM team of approximately 2,900 employees. This will allow our 30 rehabilitation and long term care facilities, 23 independent and assisted living apartments, and our durable medical equipment company, LTMS, to grow and expand in providing the optimal care for our customers, residents and tenants,“ Allbee said.
Bloomfield Care Center and Mulberry Place are owned by ABCM Corporation.
ABCM executives are finalizing the details of Dr. Hansen’s role, states Charlane Pralle-Janssen, marketing consultant team leader for ABCM.
“He will assist and audit medical doctors and physicians who serve the ABCM long-term care facilities. In addition Dr. Hansen will review hospital discharge orders, serve as a liaison for admissions, establish relationships with doctors at the 30 ABCM facilities, assess risk management, evaluate record-keeping and the notification practices of the physician’s that serve ABCM homes.”
It is Dr. Hansen’s intent to work full time for the next two years and then establish his own medical practice in Hampton, while then working for ABCM Corporation part-time.
Dr. Hansen states, “I am excited about my opportunities with ABCM Corporation and their long history of excellence.”
“In our profession, the recruitment of nurses is a great need. We want to provide the highest level of care to our residents across the state of Iowa, including preventing unnecessary hospital re-admissions. Dr. Hansen will serve as a consultant in our recruitment efforts,” said Allbee.
