Schwartz Insurance, Inc. of Ottumwa has announced that longtime Moravia resident Cherie Doud will retire on Sept. 1 after serving area residents for more than 46 years as a multiple lines insurance agent. Doud, who is one of the agency's owners, resides in Moravia with her husband, Dennis.
The firm will host a public reception in her honor on Sunday, Aug. 29, from 1-4 p.m. at the Hotel Ottumwa, 107 East Second St. in Ottumwa. Friends, neighbors and customers are encouraged to attend.
