DES MOINES and CHICAGO —
Mediacom Communications and Big Ten Network announced today that BTN2Go, a live 24/7 multi-platform extension of BTN, is now available to Mediacom subscribers in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and parts of other Midwestern states.
The announcement was made by Ed Pardini, Mediacom senior vice president for National Field Operations, and Mark Silverman, BTN president.
Silverman said, “We’re very pleased to add Mediacom Communications to our list of affiliates offering BTN2Go. Mediacom subscribers will now have access to the ultimate destination for Big Ten sports, plus our extensive schedule of original and studio programming, wherever they go.”
“BTN2Go delivers an innovative new experience that Mediacom is proud to offer to customers who are passionate Big Ten fans,” Pardini said. “For no additional charge, we want our customers to access programming that is part of their video subscription, with the ability to watch any time on any mobile device or high-speed Internet connection — it’s TV Everywhere.”
BTN2Go features a live feed of all BTN television programming, including live game telecasts, as well as Extra Football Game Channels, which are part-time channels only available during football season when BTN airs multiple football games simultaneously. BTN2Go viewers will also have on-demand access to BTN’s deep video archive, including current season games from the Big Ten Conference’s television partners. In addition, original series such as The Journey, Big Ten Icons, Big Ten’s Best and The Big Ten’s Greatest Games, as well as game highlights, are available.
Full online access to BTN2Go is only available to subscribers of participating cable, satellite or telco providers. The online service is available at no additional cost to subscribers who receive BTN as part of their TV channel line-up.
Mediacom subscribers may access BTN2Go on four platforms: website, iPad, iPhone and Android devices. On the web, fans will go to www.BTN2Go.com, choose their provider, enter their Mediacom email address and password and then have full access to BTN2Go’s services.
