Spahn and Rose expanding in Knoxville

Knoxville — A new warehouse is being built at Spahn and Rose in Knoxville. This year has been better for the business and might be a sign the construction market is bouncing back.

The 92x100 warehouse will store shingles and roofing material. The company acquired the property approximately nine months ago.

Aaron Beebout, with sales and design at Spahn and Rose, said this year's numbers may show improvement in the construction market. Spahn and Rose's numbers are better than the previous two years.

The company hopes to have the shell of the new warehouse done in a few weeks.

The Daily Iowegian will publish an Editorial Question of the Week on the Opinion page. The Iowegian wants readers to think about the Internal Revenue Service scandal. Dick Polman in an editorial wrote "the IRS' targeting of small-fry conservative groups was not a conspiratorial socialist plot. It was knuckleheaded, ill-supervised bureaucratic ineptitude." So, the question of the week is, "Do you agree or disagree with Polman's analysis of the IRS scandal?"

A. Agree
B. Disagree
C. Not sure
