OTTUMWA —
Authorities from Mahaska and Wapello counties are investigating a Tuesday incident at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont school district's elementary school.
According to a message posted on the district's website, a white minivan with a gold stripe approached students at the elementary school during recess. The minivan had at least one white male in it, who invited the students to see some puppies.
None of the boys entered the van and no one exited it. The van did not cross onto school property, nor did the boys leave.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Mahaska or Wapello county sheriffs' departments or the elementary school
