OSKALOOSA —
Tickets go on sale March 1 for the night of Blues For Food.
The March 15 event features three blues guitarists on one stage for one night only.
Guitarists Bob Ballard, Justin Kesterson and Jared Boisen will take the stage joined by Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame drummer Eric Noetger with Oskaloosa locals on keyboard, bass and percussion. Musical director is Anita Minert.
Tickets will be available at the new location of the Cellar/Peanut Pub. Tickets will be $5. All proceeds to go to Oskaloosa Community Theatre, which is sponsoring the event.
Bring in two canned good items and receive $2 off the ticket price.
The event is March 15 at 7 p.m. at the George Daily Theater in Oskaloosa. The public can buy tickets in advance at the Peanut Pub and at the theater on the day of the event. Bringing food to the theater gets everybody the same discount.
OCT board member and event organizer Charles Hixenbaugh says, “Blues is just like theater. You go up on stage and share your soul.”
