OSKALOOSA —
After a discussion Wednesday evening during a special meeting at City Hall, the Oskaloosa City Council voted to return a Nativity scene to the City Square Park.
They voted to add to the decorations within the city square so that it’s not just a Nativity scene, but that it is accompanied by a Christmas tree as well as other secular holiday decorations.
On the agenda for Wednesday’s meeting was an item regarding “Discussion and possible action on establishing a policy for decorations and event use in the city square.”
Several area residents voiced their thoughts on the Nativity scene once displayed in City Square Park at Wednesday’s meeting.
