CENTERVILLE —
Dear Editor,
Some call me a cheerleader for our Mercy Hospital. Well, I should be, our hospital and the surgeons and other doctors and staff at the hospital gave me another 10 years of enjoyable life. I have been a patient at other hospitals and received excellent care, I can't complain, but no better than our home hospital.
Some of the county hospitals have a more elaborate building but the care inside is what counts. Our hospital doesn't receive any property tax so can't spend money on fancy exteriors. Look at your property tax statement and you won't see a charge for our hospital.
There are many specialists that come to our hospital regularly so we don't have to make a trip to a distant city. Ask your doctor if there is a specialist that is coming here that can serve your health needs. Our hospital can't provide all needs, but if you have any questions about possible service come on out and ask. They can help you right here in Centerville.
Sincerely,
Rex Peterson
