Moravia Community School's held their postponed Winter Wonderland Literacy Festival in the multi-purpose room at the school Wednesday, Jan. 16 from 4-6 p.m.
The festival had been planned for the day before Christmas break but was delayed due to an impending winter storm.
The multi-purpose room was teaming with children, parents and teachers intertwined with nine activity stations.
Julie Sealine, Pre-K-eighth reading specialist, explained each of the nine stations set up in the multi-purpose room were centered around a children's book.
Teachers and books were Mrs. Vandermark and Mrs. Anderson — “Gingerbread Baby” by Jan Brett; Mrs. Brittain, Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Spurgin — “The Biggest, Best Snowman” by Margery Cuyler; Mrs. Witt and Mrs. Johnson — “Little House on the Prairie Christmas” by Laura Ingalls Wilder; Mrs. Marker and Mrs. Cochran — “Polar Slumber: Sueno Polar” by Dennis Rockhill; Mrs. Pace, Ms. Main and Mrs. Wenger — “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Suess; Mrs. Gheer and Mrs. Caudill — “Cowboy Christmas” by Rob Sanders; Mrs. Cox — “The Mitten” by Jan Brett; Mrs. Robison and Mrs. Bartels — “Let it Snow!” by Maryann Cocca Leffler; and Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Seeley and Mrs. Brown — “Junie B. Jones” by Denise Brunkus.
