Howar Junior High begins preparations for spring play
The Howar Junior High Drama Club will be presenting their 2010 spring play, “May the Farce Be With You,” a comedy by David Rodgers. Star Raider and his crew are determined to take over the world, but his evil plan is constantly foiled by the members of the E.I.E.I.O., a group of powerful super heroes attending their annual meeting at a local health spa. Will Star Raider succeed this time?
Marcia Bowen and Shawna Jacobsen will lead this play with a cast of more than 26 members. There will be informational meetings for all students interested in roles or back-stage help on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 7:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in Mrs. Jacobsen’s room. Play try-outs will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 26 and Wednesday, Jan. 27, with play practice beginning on Monday, Feb. 1.
There will only be one performance held on Friday, March 5, at 7 p.m. in the Howar Junior High old gym. Admission will be $2 for adults and $1 for students. Activity tickets will not be honored at this event.
