Schweizer, Guthrie plan July wedding

CENTERVILLE — Jim and Elaine Schweizer of Centerville  and Jack and Cindy Guthrie of Jefferson City, Mo. are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their children Amy Schweizer and Jon Guthrie. Amy’s grandparents are Jim and Thelma Daniels of Novinger, Mo. Jon’s grandparents are Eilene McCabe and the late Hillis McCabe of Rutledge, Mo.

Amy is a 2003 graduate of Centerville High School. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English from Truman State University. Amy currently teaches at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. Jon is a 2004 graduate of Jefferson City High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in history in 2008. He also earned his Master’s Degree in Education from Truman in 2010. Jon will begin teaching special education in New Sharon in the fall.

The wedding ceremony will be held at the Schweizer home in Centerville on July 3. Jon and Amy plan to reside in southeast Iowa and live happily ever after.
