Eighteen Iowa 4-H members have received $500 Pioneer Community College 4-H scholarships sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc. Recipients are from Audubon, Cedar, Cerro Gordo, Clayton, Delaware, Franklin, Hancock, Iowa, Jasper, Jefferson, Johnson, Lyon, Mitchell, Shelby and Wayne counties.
Wayne County 4-H’er Jacob Snow, Lineville, received a Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship. Snow, 18, is the son of Brentt and Krista Snow.
A nine-year 4-H member, Snow has been involved in the beef, mechanical and engineering, woodworking, photography, science and home improvement project areas. He served as club president. He plans to attend Indian Hills Community College to major in sustainable agriculture.
“The years I have been involved in 4-H have helped me become more responsible and a good influence on others,” said Snow.
