The B.V. Sodbusters met on Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. with 23 members and eight guests attending. The meeting was called to order by President Jeremiah McGrann.
The club started with the Pledge of Allegiance and treasurer's report, which was given by Brenton Willier. Minutes from the last meeting was read by Emily Steinbach. The club enjoyed playing a game called ice breaker.
The fundraiser committee decided that we would sell Finley Grace wickless candles and cookie dough next month as our club fundraiser. Then in the spring we would do other fundraisers. Marcy Thamke announced that Jack McGrann was going to be a club leader. We discussed the 4-H Awards Banquet, which was Jan. 26 and our club received an award for 4Her's for 4-H campaign. Our Hawkeye silent auction basket sold for $75.75.
Treats and drinks were provided by Katy Pross. Presentations were given by Breanna Thamke on her Betta fish, Katy Pross on her Nook and Lizzy Kumer on her canvas painting.
The meeting ended with Sabrina Sands giving the 4-H Pledge. The next meeting will be on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.
