CENTERVILLE —
The B.V. Sodbusters 4-H club met June 24 at 7 p.m. at the Extension office. The meeting was called to order by Shelby Thamke with 16 members and nine guests attending.
Jeremiah McGrann, recreation leader, asked members during roll call what their favorite thing at the Appanoose County Fair is?
The American pledge and treasurer's report was given by Brenton Willier.
Emily Steinbach read the May meeting minutes.
Members signed up for working the food stand, reminders were given out for preparing for the fair and a new slogan for the booth at the exhibit building was developed.
Treats and drinks were provided by Shelby and Breanna Thamke.
Presentations were given by Emily Lewis on tee-pee, Matthew Lewis on wrestling, Grant Hancox on snake facts and Annie Shondel on first aid.
After the meeting, members decorated stall cards and took pictures to hang up in the exhibit building.
Club T-shirts will be handed out during fairground cleanup.
Flowers were planted at the fairgrounds May 31.
On June 2 club members went to Fun City for their summer activity.
The meeting ended with the 4-H pledge given by Thatcher Carel.
The next meeting was Monday, July 9 at the fairgrounds for cleanup.
