CENTERVILLE —
The Daily Iowegian will publish an Editorial Question of the Week on the Opinion page.
The Iowegian wants readers to think about the three road construction projects the city is about to embark on.
Portions of North 10th Street and East and West State Street will be torn up and replaced with new concrete. A headache for homeowners living along those streets and a hit in the pocket books.
Tuesday night, Sept. 11, the city held an informational meeting with the landowners in the street construction zones and not one came out and said, "I'm fine with the increased property assessment."
So, the question this week is, "If you lived in one of the street construction zones would you be fine paying the increased property assessment?"
Go to the Daily Iowegian website, www.dailyiowegian.com, and scroll down the home page to POLL on the right hand side and cast your vote. Or call the Iowegian office at (641) 856-6336 or email the editor at iowegianeditor@mchsi.com to cast a vote.
Vote on the Question of the Week up until Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 12 p.m. The results will be published in the Thursday, Sept. 20 paper along with a new question.
Here are the results from the last poll question: "Do you consider yourself poor?"
A. Yes received 68 votes.
B. No received 56 votes.
C. Not sure received four votes.
D. Don't care received one vote.
