CENTERVILLE —
Dear Editor,
I support John Archer as our new congressman and I hope you do too. One of the main reasons I support him is his commitment to repeal Obamacare. He agrees health care does need reform, but not to the extent of this overreaching plan.
One of the main reasons I oppose Obamacare is because it gives the government too much power over our lives. When government power increases it is always at the cost of personal freedom. Why should we be forced to buy something we may not want or need, and be heavily taxed if we don’t buy it?
Another issue I have with this law is that it is only a one party deal. When half of the country is against the law and that only one political party voted for it, we should reconsider the merits of this legislation. No Republicans and 39 Democrats broke ranks to vote against this law in a vote of 219 to 212: a seven vote difference on legislation with enormous ramifications most don’t even want.
There are just a few reasons to repeal Obamacare. Please join me and vote for John Archer and get Obamacare overturned.
