CENTERVILLE —
The Daily Iowegian will publish an Editorial Question of the Week on the Opinion page.
The Iowegian wants readers to think about the Boy Scouts of America and a statement they released that said they are rethinking the national policy regarding sexual orientation. Now many are saying this will lead to openly gay and lesbian scouts and scout leaders.
So, the question this week is, "Should the Boy Scouts of America abandon the sexual orientation policy and allow gay and lesbian scouts and scout leaders?"
Go to the Daily Iowegian website, www.dailyiowegian.com, and scroll down the home page to POLL on the right hand side and cast your vote. Or call the Iowegian office at (641) 856-6336 or email the editor at iowegianeditor@mchsi.com to cast a vote.
Vote on the Question of the Week up until Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 12 p.m. The results will be published in the Thursday, Feb. 14 paper along with a new question.
Here are the results from the last poll question: "How much more is the federal government taking in Social Security taxes from your paycheck?"
A. No increase for me received 17 votes.
B. Zero to $10 received six votes.
C. $10.01 to $20 received 14 votes.
D. $20.01 to $30 received seven votes.
E. $30.01 to $40 received 11 votes.
