CENTERVILLE —
The Daily Iowegian will publish an Editorial Question of the Week on the Opinion page.
The Iowegian wants readers to think about taxes. Specifically, federal Social Security taxes. How much did yours go up despite an assurance from the president that taxes on middle class wage earners would not go up.
So, the question this week is, "How much more is the federal government taking in Social Security taxes from your paycheck?"
Go to the Daily Iowegian website, www.dailyiowegian.com, and scroll down the home page to POLL on the right hand side and cast your vote. Or call the Iowegian office at (641) 856-6336 or email the editor at iowegianeditor@mchsi.com to cast a vote.
Vote on the Question of the Week up until Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 12 p.m. The results will be published in the Thursday, Feb. 7 paper along with a new question.
Here are the results from the last poll question: "Who is it going to win the game, the Baltimore Ravens or the San Francisco 49ers?"
A. Baltimore Ravens received 27 votes.
B. San Francisco 49ers received 45 votes.
