CENTERVILLE —
This coming Saturday, Sept. 15, is the second annual AGL Youth Hunt, held in memory of Andrew Lind.
Mother Nature was important to Andrew Lind, and that is something that will be translated thoroughly. There will be a focus on learning to love nature for its beauty and what it has to give, as well as developing a respect for the environment.
Youths ages 10-15 are encouraged to participate in this hunt, where they will have mentors teach them proper handling and shooting of muzzleloaders and bows before heading off to a supervised hunting experience. The DNR will also supervise and participate in providing youth hunter training and simulations.
The AGL Youth Hunt starts at 10 a.m. at Sharon Bluffs State Park and will end around 8 p.m. with a hot dog roast and storytelling around a campfire. For more information, contact Lacey White or Patti Lind at (641) 856-2173.
