CENTERVILLE — Youth and adult volunteers from St. Mary's Catholic Church, First Baptist Church and the Centerville-Rathbun Lake Area Chamber of Commerce helped put up Christmas lights on the square this past weekend. The lights are part of "Bright Lights and Seasonal Sounds," the synchronized holiday display sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, Appanoose County Tourism and Digital Salvaging. Steve Kozak, owner of Digital Salvaging, is the mastermind behind the synchronized display. Thanks to good weather the group was able to get most of the lights installed. Bright Lights and Seasonal Sounds will begin on the Friday after Thanksgiving at 6 p.m. The display is being expanded this year to include a spiral "megatree" and will also feature new synchronized music and additional colors.
