The Centerville Quilt Guild and Honey Creek Resort are hosting the free “Honey of a Quilt Show” to be held March 27-28 at Honey Creek Resort.
The schedule is jam packed with fun and quilts. The doors open at 9 a.m. with a morning happy and coffee hour and 200 quilts on display, which include Centerville High School clothing students quilts. The fun includes drawings every hour on the hour and fat quarter games every hour on the half-hour.
There will be a silent auction with items made by the guild members and two raffles: A handmade quilt by Jane Logsdon and a Gee’s Bend Quilt kit.
Dana Moritz and Debbie Robinson will be hosting an antique hat show; Kay Whipple, as well as Teresa Bostwick, will be hosting trunk shows. The guild has developed four “Make and Take” sessions. Thirteen vendors have agreed to bring fabric, notions and ideas to sell.
The resort has created quilt-themed desserts and appetizers that will be available all day long with a morning and evening happy and coffee hour. Their staff is providing quilt-related activities and story time for the kids.
There are special low rates for rooms and cabins for the weekend. Honey Creek Resort has also created a Quilting Weekend Package for any quilters that would like to rent a cabin and quilt all weekend, which will be available from November to April.
Material Girlz Quilt Guild and Honey Creek Resort look forward to seeing every quilter and non-quilter at the “Honey of a Quilt Show” March 27-28.
