By Michael Schaffer - Managing Editor

Three Unionville, Iowa adults have been accused of harboring a runaway child.

Laura Lynn Molle, 46, Joseph Max McVeigh, 19 and Anna Devere McVeigh, 18, who all listed 31728 485th St., Unionville, Iowa as an address, were formally charged with harboring a runaway child by Appanoose County Attorney Richard Scott on Jan. 13. It is alleged the three co-defendants on Dec. 4, 2009 allowed the child to remain away from home against the wishes of the child's parents, guardian or custodian.

All three were arraigned Feb. 5 on the charge. And each responded to the charge by filing a written arraignment and plea of not guilty.

The criminal complaint alleges the male youth was found by Appanoose County Sheriff deputies at the Unionville residence of the three co-defenants on Dec. 4. The complaint states they were told to contact the Law Center if the youth showed up at the house.

A trial date has yet to be determined. Harboring a runaway child is an aggravated misdemeanor.
