DES MOINES —
Iowa's sex offender Web site now has a "Most Wanted” page.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety on Wednesday says the state's non-compliant sex offenders are easier to identify with a page devoted to them on the Sex Offender Registry site.
Department spokeswoman Jessica Lown told The Des Moines Register that those on the most wanted list will have been in non-compliance with requirements for at least 60 days. A warrant will be on file for their arrest in Iowa. Each will be an offender who is required to check in with their local sheriff's office every three months.
The list will have names, information and photographs of 20 to 30 offenders at any one time.
The Ottumwa Courier reports an Ottumwa man is included on the list.
Raynard Lenard Warner, 51, is among 21 of the state’s most wanted sex offenders according to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. Warner was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Illinois in 1998.
Warner’s address as of August 2010 was 630 N. Fellows St. Apt. 101, Ottumwa. Police do not have any information about Warner being in the Ottumwa area, said Ottumwa Police Lt. Tom McAndrew.
There is a warrant from November 2010 out for Warner for failure to register as a sex offender. McAndrew said Warner did not report a change of address.
People with information about Warner or any of the other most wanted sex offenders are encouraged to contact DCI or the local authorities.
