CENTERVILLE —
The Centerville-Rathbun Lake Area Chamber of Commerce annual banquet is Monday, Feb. 11 at The Manhattan.
The keynote speaker will be Scott Siepker.
The public is invited to attend the banquet.
Siepker is the host of the Emmy nominated “Iowa Outdoors” on Iowa Public Television and is an adjunct professor of acting at Drake University.
Siepker got his acting start on stage at Iowa State University, where he received his bachelor of science in psychology. Scott has gone on to act in dozens of plays, commercials and miscellaneous live events.
In 2012, Siepker was the star of the Webby Honoree viral video “Iowa Nice,” which was produced by the film company he is a founding member of, Iowa Filmmakers, along with Paul D. Benedict and Brendan Dunphy. With the follow ups “Cyclone” and “Hawkeye Nice,” ESPN took note and now Siepker can been seen twice a week on “College Football Daily” during the football season.
Also on the agenda is the naming of the Daily Iowegian’s Citizen of the Year and the introduction of the 2013 Chamber President Marcia Bratz from Bratz Shell.
Social time will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and program following at 6 p.m. Cost is $24 per person. Reservations should be received by Wednesday, Feb. 6.
