CENTERVILLE —
What do discarded bits of costume jewelry have to do with nine foot tall leaded glass side windows sadly in need of repair?
Nothing, until Debbie Robinson and Dana Moritz decided to use the costume jewelry to create a Christmas Tree Picture which would then be raffled off to make money to restore the windows.

The windows, originally featured in a bank in Mystic, will become a part of the bank exhibit at the Appanoose Historical Museum. Fifteen pieces of beveled glass need repair and the leading needs total restoration. The total project will cost $3,500.
The Christmas Tree Picture started with a piece of foam board covered with batting and vintage silk velvet. The jewelry pieces were glued in place and hand sewn for stability. Marlin and Joan O’Conner added the backing. This attractive picture adds holiday bling to any setting.
