CENTERVILLE —
A fatal accident at 7:13 p.m. in Wayne County was reported by the Iowa State Patrol.
On Dec. 2, David A. Friedel, 52, of Allerton, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet pickup west of S22 on Idaho Street when he lost control and entered the north ditch. The pick up struck a field drive rolling over before coming to rest on its top.
The patrol's minimal crash report states alcohol was a factor and the accident is under investigation.
The report states Friedel was not wearing a seat belt.
The Wayne County sheriff and Wayne County ambulance assisted at the scene.
