CENTERVILLE — Alliant Energy successfully shut down a natural gas leak at 1010 E. State St. in Centerville.
Centerville emergency responders were called to a large natural gas leak at the address at approximately 12 p.m. Thursday.
According to scanner traffic, a construction crew on site hit a line.
Law enforcement and fire officials blocked off access to State Street around the leak and began coordinating an evacuation before the leak was ultimatley shut down at approximately 12:30 p.m.
