CENTERVILLE —
Mercy Medical Center announced that Axel Eugene Eli Schuler is the first baby boy born in Appanoose County on Feb. 19, 2013 at 11:43 a.m. He weighed eight pounds and 19 ¼ inches in height.
He is the son of Robert and Lori Schuler of Centerville and joins one brother, James.
He received a wagon full of gifts given by the hospital, its employees and the obstetrics staff honoring him as the first baby boy of the new year.
