CENTERVILLE —
Pathfinders RC&D is happy to announce receipt of a grant from Central Iowa Tourism Region to plan and host a map training seminar for businesses along the Historic Hills Scenic Byway as well as surrounding communities.
This event will take place at Honey Creek Resort in Moravia on March 6 at 9:30 a.m. The training is open to any business or group along the Historic Hills Scenic Byway as well as CITR members. Those outside these regions are invited to attend for a nominal fee of $10, but register soon as space is limited.
Byway Coordinator, Katy Anderson, wrote this grant with a goal of facilitating training for businesses and those managing points of interest along the byway to get placed on Google Maps as well as to create functional event maps for tourists. Historic Hills Scenic Byway spans 110 miles across five counties in southeast Iowa. With the help of mapping specialist, Christopher Seeger, businesses and points of interest along the byway should be popping up on Google Maps in the weeks following the training.
This training is provided at no charge for business owners and those managing points of interest in Historic Hills Byway communities as well as existing CITR members. The training is also open to other members of the public for a fee of $10. Space is limited. Call or email your request to attend to Katy at katy@pathfindersrcd.org or (641) 472-6177.
