CENTERVILLE —
The National Weather Service will conduct a storm spotter training class in Appanoose County on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
The storm spotter training event will be held at 6:45 p.m. at the Centerville City Hall.
Severe weather spotters are a vital link in the timely and accurate flow of weather information for forecast offices. Each year, NWS meteorologists provide introductory and advanced storm spotter training in a multi-media presentation that lasts approximately two hours.
The training is open to the public and is free of charge. No pre-registration is necessary.
