Jack and Joyce Stufflebeem, owners of One of a Kind bed and breakfast in Centerville, were named the "Innkeepers of the Year" at the Iowa Lodging Association's Annual Star Awards banquet held at the Sheraton Hotel in Des Moines.
The Stufflebeems were recognized for providing outstanding leadership in the bed and breakfast industry and exemplary service to guests they serve.
Tom Murray, president of the Iowa Lodging Association, described the Stufflebeems as "entrepreneurs, innovative marketers, active promoters of their industry, and gracious hosts who always represent the best that Iowa hospitality and lodging has to offer."
The Stufflebeems are charter members and serve as the southeast Iowa regional directors on the executive committee for the Iowa Bed Breakfast Guild where they participate in planning and hosting southeast bed and breakfast meetings as well as helping with the IBBG's annual spring and fall conference for the state of Iowa.
One of a Kind is located one block west of the Centerville Square in a house built in 1867. One of a Kind has a Tea Room, offers homemade food and a gift shop with collectables, art supplies and home decor.
