CENTERVILLE —
The volunteers at Angel’s Hands are asking all folks who donating to stop, for now.
“Do not bring any more items to the Angel's Hands shop for at least two weeks,” they said. “Due to changes in some government laws for non-profit organizations, we are having to keep inventories on items received and how they are distributed. This has created a lot of work for the volunteers and we have a huge backlog of items that has to be accepted in the right way.”
The volunteers do not have a place to keep any more things and if someone leaves items in the front of the store the police will be notified and there could be charges of littering filed.
The volunteers said it was not a “laughing matter” because if they fail to meet these requirements of the government, they will most likely be unable to keep the store open.
“Respect the volunteers and leaders trying to make your shopping at Angel's Hands possible,” they said. “We will try to keep you informed concerning this matter with further news articles and postings at the store.”
The store will be open for shopping only.
