The Mystic American Legion Post 340 will hold a potluck dinner for all veterans and their families on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Mystic Post Home on Main Street in Mystic.
Serving will commence at 6 p.m. Meat and drinks will be furnished and those attending are asked to bring a covered dish to share along with their table service.
The program after the meal will be presented by Mike Baethke of the Morgan Anderson Consulting Firm and his wife. Mike is a former local boy, the son of Malvern and Marge Baethke of rural Centerville.
The presentation is titled, “A Salute to American Veterans; What You Did Made a Difference.” This program was given at the Iowa State Fair and acclaimed as one of the best.
Following Mike’s program will be special music by Ric Zaputil and son and Burrell Browns for the remainder of the evening.
