Paranormal leader says cemetery tests inconclusive

The founder of Iowa Paranormal Monday afternoon confirmed their tests Saturday night in Oakland Cemetery failed to uncover anything out of the ordinary and any results they did uncover may be attributed to human factors.

"I wish we could have caught something," Steven Tracy said. "In this kind of field of investigating, you capture...80 percent of cases can easily be disproved or you won't find anything at all."

Tracy said the glowing light they thought they’d seen turned out to be a light coming from across the highway reflecting off the top of a tombstone. Female voices and other noises they caught on the tape recorder most likely were the result of human interference from several people who had come out that night to watch.

"There were a few females in the group that were there at the time that we got these recordings," Tracy said. "We can't say, 'Yeah, that's something paranormal or not.' I'd say the tests were inconclusive, would be the best way to put it."

Tracy said the conditions Saturday night were unfavorable but they did the best they could. He said they don't normally check cemeteries, preferring to concentrate on houses.
