Membership still good for six shows

There is still time to purchase a season membership to the Centerville Concert Association for $35 and enjoy performances by Circus Incognitus-Chaplinesque Bumbler at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, TrueMen ACappella at a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Feb. 28, Jasper Wood, violin and piano at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 29 and Riders in the Sky, a cowboy music show, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 26. A season membership also includes admission to the Chatterton Duo, flute and piano, a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, March 28 and Girl Singers, hit parade at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 18 at the Bridge View Center.

A season membership to the Centerville Concert Association can be purchased at Owl Pharmacy and J&KMarket; on the Square.

This week the Iowegian wants readers to think about the recent decision by the Centerville Municipal Waterworks Board of Directors to increase the fee for late payment of water bills. In a story published in Wednesday's Ad Express, board members announced a 10 percent late fee after two days late, a $50 red tag fee for accounts unpaid after seven days late and a $25 shut off fee, water service terminated after two weeks late. The board said the decision to increase the fees associated with late payment is to encourage customers to pay their bills on time. So, the question this week is, "Are these fees too much to ask for?"
