CORYDON —
Carole Sue Anderson 52, and Samuel Lee Anderson, 27, both of rural Corydon, were arrested after the execution of a search warrant at their residence, located at 1971 Ohio Road in Wayne County. The arrest occurred on Friday, Aug. 24, according to a press release from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Items located during the execution of the search warrant were conducive with the manufacturing of marijuana, along with items of drug paraphernalia and a loaded firearm. Also present during the execution of the search warrant was a five year old juvenile.
Carole and Samuel Anderson were both charged and arrested for manufacturing marijuana while in the immediately possession of a firearm, a class "D" felony, failure to affix an appropriate stamp, label or official indicia, a class "D" felony, child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
Both Carole and Samuel Anderson were later released from jail after each posted a bond of $13,000.
Assisting the Wayne County Sheriff's Office in this case were the South Central Iowa Drug Task and the Wayne County Attorney's Office.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presume innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
